Remedial Repair Guarantee
In general, metal moving parts such as handles, locks, hinges, and cylinders carry a 12-month manufacturer’s guarantee. Should a fault arise during this period, we will obtain a replacement part from the supplier and fit it for you free of charge.
Replacement double glazing units carry a 10-year manufacturer’s guarantee when fitted into uPVC window frames or doors. Some products, like encapsulated stained glass, are guaranteed for only 12 months. Double glazing in wooden windows is also guaranteed for 12 months. Installation guarantee is for 12 months. After 12 months a charge a small installation fee to fit the guaranteed replacement product.
This covers time, travel, and labour only—the product itself remains free under the guarantee.
Replacement rubber trims carry a 12-month manufacturer’s guarantee against shrinkage and cracking, and labour is guaranteed for the same period.

No, FENSA/Certass does not apply to replacement parts, even if you upgrade your glass to high-spec energy-saving glass. FENSA/Certass registrations are only required if you change the whole window, including the frame and glass.
Window / Door Guarantees
All uPVC windows and doors come with a manufacturer’s guarantee:
10‑year guarantee on the uPVC profile against fading or cracking
12‑month guarantee on locks, hinges, letterboxes, and similar hardware
Installation is guaranteed for 12 months.
All composite doors come with a manufacturer’s guarantee:
10‑year guarantee on the bubbling and blowing
12‑month guarantee on locks, hinges, letterboxes, and similar hardware

Any manufacturer’s product that has expired its guarantee period or whose supplier has ceased trading.
Any double glazing unit that has expired its manufacturer’s guarantee period or whose manufacturer has ceased trading, any glass unit that is cracked or broken, and any glass units that have imperfections inside the unit 7 days after installation.
Any product that has not been maintained or used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, any product that has been abused or used for purposes other than what it was designed for.
Excluding replacement glass, manufacturers do not offer guarantees on any products used in a commercial setting.
We cannot guarantee damp or leak issues where the problem is more complex and may require other trades such as builders.
We do not cover the cost of special access equipment, such as scaffolding, to access the remedial work area. These costs are to be covered by the customer.
