Even before you call Rockdoor customer service, you will need your serial number. This number will either be in your paperwork or, more commonly, found in the rebate of your door as shown in the image. It's a six-figure number (we removed two for security) that tells Rockdoor everything about your door, including what handles and locks are fitted. Perfect, I hear you say, but wait! If this number is missing, your journey ends now. Without this number, Rockdoor cannot find your door or anything relating to it.
Now, if you have the number and call customer service, they will most likely tell you that the invoice and guarantee are between Rockdoor and your installation company. Many people do not know who installed their door. For example, the door was already installed when they purchased the property. In some cases, the installation company is no longer trading or the guarantee has simply expired. If you can't go back to the installation company, then in simple terms, there is no warranty or guarantee on your door.
.
In most cases, you will have to purchase replacement parts, and even we have trouble doing this. Again, customer service will ask you to contact your installation company to obtain the parts on your behalf, and no further help was possible. Luckily for us, we had a local Rockdoor installer who purchased the parts on our behalf.
The whole experience dealing with Rockdoor customer service can be frustrating. In our experience, when the parts arrived at the local branch, confirmed by a telephone call before travelling over, we found that they actually hadn't come in.
What Rockdoor says, does, and delivers are worlds apart.
