Clean your windows (all colours) with hot soapy water and a sponge or paintbrush. Warm soapy water is all you need. Use the paintbrush to scrub away the dirt and get into the corners. An old spray bottle with water will flush the dirt away from the corners. DO NOT use any bleach-based cleaners or scouring pads, as these will permanently damage your uPVC. Open your window and wash the rebates and inside edges.

Once you have removed all the stubborn dirt and while the window is still damp, use your microfiber cloth and cream cleaner to remove any stubborn marks. We recommend uPVC cream cleaner over solvent cleaner, as solvent will rub the dirt into the surface of the frame, making it harder to remove. You can rewash the window to remove any leftover cream cleaner from the frame.

Clean the glass with a well-known glass cleaner, using one microfiber cloth with the glass cleaner and a second for drying and polishing the glass. Stubborn marks, such as paint splashes, can be removed with a Stanley knife blade placed flat against the glass and used lightly.
Most coloured frames, such as Black, Anthracite Grey, and wood effects like Rosewood and Oak, are all foil-wrapped and should not be cleaned with either uPVC cream or solvent cleaners. Damage to the surfaces must be specially repaired by experts using coloured waxes. Some marks can be touched up using a coloured touch-up pen, which works well on the joints where the white frame underneath is showing through. Do NOT clean coloured frames with WD-40.

All metal parts need lubrication once or twice a year. We recommend using a silicone spray, PTFE spray, or grease, as these will not dry up like WD-40. You can safely spray silicone or PTFE spray inside the locking mechanism and handle, and around all the joints on the hinges. Open and close the window a few times to ensure the oil is getting where it is needed. Try not to spray the oil on the newly cleaned window, curtains, or wallpaper.
