Open your door wide and clean inside the rebate of the frame/threshold with your vacuum, removing all traces of built-up dirt. Ensure the drain slots are free from dirt.

Clean the entire door and frame (all colors) with hot soapy water and a sponge or soft brush. Most door frames will look much better at this stage; washing-up liquid is all you need. DO NOT use any bleach-based cleaners or scouring pads, as these will permanently damage your door. Open your door and wash the rebates and inside edges, ensuring water runs through and out of the drainage slots.

While the door is still damp, use your microfiber cloth and cream cleaner to remove any stubborn marks, dullness, or discoloration from the frame. We recommend using a uPVC cream cleaner over a solvent-based cleaner, as solvents can rub the dirt into the uPVC surface, making it hard to remove. You can rewash the door to remove any leftover cream cleaner from the frame.

Clean the glass with a well-known glass cleaner, using one microfiber cloth for the cleaner and a second for drying and polishing the glass. Stubborn marks, such as paint splashes, can be removed with a Stanley knife blade placed flat against the glass and used lightly.

Most colored frames, such as Black, Anthracite Grey, and wood effects like Rosewood and Oak, are foil-wrapped and should not be cleaned with either uPVC cream or solvent cleaners. Damage to the surfaces must be specially repaired by experts using colored waxes. Some marks can be touched up using a colored touch-up pen, which works well on the joints where the white frame underneath is showing through. Do NOT clean colored frames with WD-40.

All metal parts need lubrication once or twice a year. We recommend using a silicone spray or light grease, as these will not dry up like WD-40. You can safely spray silicone spray inside the locking mechanism and handle, and around all the joints on the hinges. Open and close the door a few times to ensure the oil is getting where it is needed. Try not to spray the oil on the newly cleaned window, curtains, or wallpaper.
